• Welcome to MCME!

Minecraft Middle Earth is a Minecraft community that recreates the world described by JRR Tolkien and his writings. Everyone can participate in organized events in which we collaborate to create major landmarks, terrain, caves, castles, towns, farms and more.

Silmarillion

You guys should do some ruins of kingdoms and tombs of the first age.
A lot of locations from the first age are in Beleriand, which is pretty much fully destroyed and under the sea, even if some ruins were to remain under the sea, there would still be some issues.
1. Because almost all of the build height is used on the server, the sea does not have a lot of depth, Considering all the ruins would have to be under the sea, there is not a lot of height to work with. This issue may be solved if/when we can build in the negative y-levels.
2. Even if the previous issue was solved, the map would have to be expanded because a lot of Beleriand would be outside the world border of the server.

Further more considering we first want to build lotr locations before hobbit locations, it follows that we would first need to do all hobbit locations before considering doing Beleriand.
Now there are some locations from Beleriand on the freebuild server, but these are unofficial projects and are only accesible for commoners and above.

To add another point to what Tidc said: First Age locations, even if they weren't underwater, would've for the most part been abandoned for ~6.5k years by now, which means there would hardly be anything left of them - we're talking about 1-2 blocks as the maximum height one could hope for, and even that might be exaggerated (similar concerns were raised over Lond Daer Enedh).

Regardless, the most important point is the last one Tidc mentioned - we are building The Lord of the Rings right now, and once we're done with that we will move on to The Hobbit. Will we ever get around to doing Beleriand, or anything else of the sort? Perhaps... but it's likely to be discussed with any level of seriousness for another decade at least.
