I am new here and also currently dont have a copy of minecraft but before i pick one up i wanted to know it the windows 10 edition will work with your system i have been following this project for about 2 years and im just now getting around to getting my own copy of the game.

We don't use any mods, so if minecraft works, you can connect to our servers. I assume minecraft works with windows 10:p

If you look at the FAQ for the Windows 10 version is states clearly that it only supports multiplayer with the iOS versions, so no, you need OG minecraft in order to play on the server.

EDIT: also, if you pick up the OG version you get a free version of the Windows 10 version anyway, so there's no point in buying only the Windows 10 version

Thanks i appreciate it ill see if i can get it to run on my 4 year old i3 laptop until i get my x99 pc back up and running (motherboard flaked out)
