MCME Summer The Great River Race [Two Trees Event]

  • Minecraft Middle Earth is a Minecraft community that recreates the world described by JRR Tolkien and his writings. Everyone can participate in organized events in which we collaborate to create major landmarks, terrain, caves, castles, towns, farms and more.

To get started, visit The New Player Guide
  • This weekend 20-21 April the website will be unavailable for a few hours for a scheduled upgrade and maintenance. Estimated time that the site will be unavailable will be around 3 hours.

  • This community does not generate revenue and relies on its members and financial contributors to keep it running.

For a complete month, we would need around 235 USD for a break-even situation.

~MCME Presents~
The Great River Race!

August 9th - 5PM EST, 2PM PST, 7AM AEST

The Tale:

Long ago, during the forming of this great land, workers from all races came together to move mountain and forge rivers. Despite being from different lands, these men worked together for the good of all. They followed the orders of their Kings and Queens and sacrificed their lives to create the many wonders of this day. These brave men, though receiving little recognition from their monarchs, pressed on with one goal in mind: the building of the Great River known as the Anduin. This river, once completed, was the longest river of its time. It allowed the ancients to send ships from the Misty mountains to the Great Sea.

This year, during the Two Tree Summer Event, teams will
participate in an obstacle course created to challenge them and show them what fear truly is. They will dig, swim and climb to victory! Teams will be created to take on the role of diggers. As a digger you must serve your kings bidding and do as they wish. Are you prepared for the upcoming challenges? Do you think you and your team can defeat what the Great River has waiting for you? Sign up today!

Guidelines:
  • Players must progress through the event and arrive at the top of Kings Tower
  • Teams must consist of 3 players
  • No players are permitted to place or destroy blocks throughout the course, unless specified
  • No players may scale the mountains in order to skip a portion of the map
  • No use of Flymod or any other tool that would provide an unfair advantage *This includes superpick*
  • Players will participate in the event in survival mode
  • Have fun and try to survive
How do I Win?
  • You win by being the first team of diggers to arrive at your Kings Castle. He awaits his loyal diggers at the top of his castle, don't make him wait too long
  • The fastest team to complete this course will be deemed the winning team

It is potentially being hosted on another server if permissions are set up, if not we can make do with jobs on main. Fingers crossed on the former.

Because there are some people who are concerned about this being only a river dig, here is some images to show its not :D
I selected these images because I think they will show the fun side of the event.

Seems interesting, I was honestly under the impression it was just a river dig.

Thanks everyone for turning out to the event. I personally think we had a great turnout and everyone had a blast! Heres another promo from all the positive quotes people said in Teamspeak.
