A Midnight Summers Dream!
Summer is waning as I speak, but that doesn’t mean the building or progress on the server is!

It's been a good two weeks, I am currently working on planning two big meetings which will hopefully set us on a good start for post-summer work and get us rolling back into full swing soon enough. I am excited with all recent promotions, participation and the whole lot. I hope to see a lot more of it these next two weeks as well!

Unfortunately, there are no official updates for this week due to not having heard anything from the project leaders. However, there was an interesting discussion about the location of the 21 hall based on the book or the movie, and also possibly having 2 seperate paths (also book and movie). Thanks to @BWOT for telling me about that.

Well. Our Osgiliath upgrade has got off to a flying start. @ooitsbirdo and @barteldvn have been working hard running jobs o plenty, and @dav3ck ran an unofficial build day too. All in all, Osgiliath is looking eerily beautiful. Eerily beautiful.

Update our resource packs to mc 1.13
I’m working on converting new Gondor RP to 1.13. @Merlinc01’s converters helps a lot but all our special blockstate and model files need to be edited by hand or by a self-made converter.

From what I have seen of 1.13 I believe we will have MANY new blocks (solid full blocks, half doors, fences, leaves and unsolid blocks). So you may want to think about new textures already.

Update MCME to mc 1.13
Spigot 1.13.1 server has been released and seem to work fine with new worlds, but it is still not recommended to use it on existing worlds. Anyway it’s fun to test see what could be possible I was able to place more than 8400 block states by plugin (e.g. 500 note blocks states and about 450 door states) These numbers are a bit confusing though. For a fully functional door you need 32 block states. I still believe we will be able to get back old stone bricks door AND have about 20 more half doors.

I’m now working on MCME Architect plugin which will probably the most work of 1.13 update. All the custom inventories and special blocks need to be converted to the new Block Data. Support of old data values and block IDs is quite good in the new Spigot API and I believe I can convert the inventory configuration files without much editing by hand.
