__Opening Statement

It's been an interesting week for MCME with lots of things happening, both happy and sad. Projects have been finished and new ones have been started. There have been rumours about a reboot of Pelargir though that would still be a while off.
I've seen the many, many, many suggestions you guys made. And I will take them to heart.

__Project Progress

Annúminas (In Progress):
The front gate to the city has been finished and the 'administration building' (I assume the town hall or a court of some sort) has seen vast improvements. The underwater segments have now also been completed, though @Wollip666 is pondering whether to make some changes to these areas as he is not entirely satisfied with them yet.

Dol Amroth (In Progress):
A lot of houses were pasted in this week and @demonataz ran some road jobs to tie together the neighbourhood. The housing area on the top of the cliff now appears to be halfway done.

Linhir (New): The docks have almost been finished, with the help of some artists. Also, construction on normal housing has been started, for which there will be a Freebuild soon (stay tuned), a Freebuild for the market stands is going on here. Be sure to check it out!

Lossarnach (New):
The bridge that connects Minas Tirith and Pelargir has been done by @Emil_Oil and @Ivan1pl. Imloth Menui (the valley of roses and flowers) has been voxelled by @wodleth. Meanwhile @Nightfalcon14 and @Tyrhanystrasz (T-Rex), the Designer formerly known as JCW, are building a village overlooking the valley.

Misty Mountains (In Progress):
For the first time a major connected area is sand-free now, four more sections between the Redhorn pass and Moria West Gate could be completed.
18 sections done, 6 to go.
Check the updated map >>here<<
Important:
Due to Credoo's time schedule we will have to review the Durins Tower contest a few days before christmas, a concrete date isn't known yet, but I suggest you should calculate that you are done by the weekend of the 20th/21st december

Paths of the Dead (In Progress):
@Despot666 is still extremely busy with work outside of MCME and unfortunately @iSMiTHz who had taken it upon himself to work on this project while Despot was occupied elsewhere has left us.
Luckily @Credoo is working on a spooky, magical black stone thingy in a pillar. So we have that going for us, which is nice.

Osgiliath (Finished): After two years and countless people working on it Osgiliath is finally finished. A huge well done to all those who put time and effort into it. It has been the longest running project on MCME easily beating large projects such as moria. Perhaps because it was our back up project for when times were slow, or perhaps it's because we have improved our building standards. I'm betting on the former though.

Miscellaneous:

@DSESGH is working on a new Deeping Stream. The digging of the main stream has been finished and voxelling has started. The tributaries will also be voxelled in, no more digging jobs unfortunately.
The shire tree project has been put on hold untill a new Designer has the time to help out with voxelling, worldeditting, and oversight.

Current plotworld jobs and contests:

__Media of the Week

As there have been Zero! screenshots uploaded this week I had to decide on either leaving this segment out of the times or putting an older picture here. So with that said, I dredged up this picture I took sometime this summer. I hope to see some pictures this week so I can put them in here.

__Status Updates

Promotions:

Lady_of_Rohan has finally succumbed to people asking her if she wants to be guide.

Resignation:
ryanturambar Has unfortunately stepped down from Vala. He has to much work to do for his studies and combined with real life there's not much time left for minecraft.
iSMiTHz has resigned because he got some opportunities that will help him make his way in the music industry.

__Build of the Week

I think it's way overdue we bring this back. Perhaps there won't be one every week but with progress at the level it is now I'm hoping there will be plenty builds of the week.
This week I'd like to feature the town that was mentioned in the project progress post on Lossarnach:

__Community Outreach

MCME Podcast: @rcpopcornman is running an unofficial podcast. If you listened in during the livestream, brilliant! If you missed it you can watch it back later, a vod should be uploaded by Tuesday. You can discuss it HERE.

Facebook Page:
Have you checked out the MCME Facebook page? It is updated almost daily and provides not only great updates on the server, but also top screenshots, builds, promotions, and more! In other words, be sure to like us HERE.

Planet Minecraft Page:
As stated before, please vote for us every day HERE. This helps draw attention and commemoration towards the server and is really appreciated by the community. So do your part and support MCME!

Times Feedback:
Have a thought concerning the presentation of the MCME Times and how it can be improved? Because I am always looking for new ways to mix up and improve the Times experience through any means necessary and, if you have a comment or concern, it's likely that someone else had it as well and just didn't say anything about it. So be sure to message me your thoughts on the forums.

__Closing Statement

All in all quite a turbulent week indeed. Not too surprising considering there was a Staff- and Valarmeeting this saturday where quite some decisions where made. I do hope that some of the things discussed there will soon make there way to the forums so all of you will be able to share in their wonder.

As Ryan finally resigned from Vala I remember the many people I used to play with on this server that have since moved on. In remembrance to all of them I leave you with this quote.
Remember me and smile, for it's better to forget than to remember me and cry.
-Dr. Seuss
I think of them fondly sometimes, and than I remember @bobow95 has left staff as well... and I think even more fondly. Just kidding booboob, luf you.

Everyone (except Oathbreakers) can participate in these PlotWorld jobs, in PlotWorld you get Creative mode and you can build anytime (as long as it's for one of those jobs or contests and you're following the rules, not grieving other stuff or building outside of your plot).
Should add this to the post next time MaD.

Funny how you put it :p

Anyway, great edition of the Times MaD, I liked the addition of the current PlotWorld contests and Freebuilds, though in the next editions I'd like to see more of those staff and guide interviews maybe. And Quote of the Week.

ETA: also, speeder45 was demoted :(
ETA 2: and Taylore resigned

Wasn't speeder on today?
Yeah, he's still guide:)
He returned the day after he was demoted it seems. If he is really still a Guide the docs below would have to be updated. But I really think he isn't anymore, he told us he'll still be busy in the future.
