    Opening Statement

Annúminas was put on hold, expecting it will stay like that for quite some time, and fearing that picking it up again may be difficult. But no, it's already back! And its growing and proceeding faster than ever before, no doubt that Fireinferno has come back in his full strength and that he will handle that project as if it was only a mere shire farmhouse!
Emil pm'd me about getting started again with the Misties, upon that I revealed the merely insane plans i've made up, which merely includes redoing entire eastern Eriador (more or less :p). But instead of thinking again about whether he now really shall dare tuning into this, he immediately grasped his voxel tools and started the fun.

What other funs have made progress this week you can find out by reading on... ;)

    >========================================================================<

    Project Progress

Andrast (In Progress) - Lead: @Tyranystrasz
A lot has happened. We have started the end of the White Mountains of Gondor, and lots of new and beautiful terrain has been made. Also Tyranystrasz has thought of an idea for Ras Morthil
    - Mandos

Also check out the new project thread that has now been put up for the matter: >>Click<<

Anfalas (In Progress) - Lead: @DSESGH
The terraforming is progressing well, a notable number of hills have again been adjusted to match the terrain shapes we've got to know and love on MCME.

Annúminas (In Progress) - Lead: @Fireinferno13

Lots of progress being made on this project! First, the palace is pretty much done. Second, the main housing layouts have been adjusted as to make room for an even greater city population and better road arrangement. Third, the Annuminas House Freebuild is open for everyone to build houses! Feel free to go to plotworld and build one yourself at "/warp AnnuHouse FB" - but be sure to read the guide first which can be found >>here<<!
    - Fireinferno13

    Update:
The huge palace which has been constructed by @jacenpeter and some co-workers has been finished! Too bad it's just another piece of epicness that has to be ruined way to soon.

Calembel (In Progress) - Lead: @Ivan1pl

Still waiting for houses from house freebuild, just about 10 of them left, then some roads, gardens and finishing touches and we can call it done!
    - Ivan1pl

Dol Amroth (In Progress) - Lead: @Demonataz
The palace and its surrounding area is the last big bite that is left to do in the city; it all is being worked on plotworld by Artists and is making really good progress! Currently it's about halfway done.

Lebennin (In Progress) - Lead: @otho
No progress, have had a really busy week. Just the road left!
    - otho -

    Misty Mountains (In Progress) - Lead: @Finrod_Amandil & @Emilio_
Emilio has been dreaming about mountains and has taken it as sign that he now shall continue with the Misty Mountains. The first thing to do is getting rid of the Hollin Ridge as it is now, as it's current position does not fit the lore, which is really accurate about that area.
This will be only one of many changes to the area between the river Mitheithel and the actual Mountains, the plans are merely finished by now.

    Moria (In Progress) - Lead: @Despot666 & @Finrod_Amandil
Despot is digging halls like crazy, only a small part is done yet but getting lost is already possible in no time! Be sure to participate in this week's ThemedBuild to get some first experience with the new pack, soon we will need as many people as possible that can handle it!

    Pelargir (
    In Progress) - Lead: @Credoo
It's all about big buildings currently: In the south of Pelargir newly the majestic military headquarters rise above the Anduin; just next to it a large shipyard is in construction. And a bit further south one can found an all new arena!
Beside that of course the Dome Contest is still running, no need to mention how promising it looks, cuz you know, this is Sparta MCME!

Shire Trees (In Progress) - Lead: @kisos

Forests all around The beautiful village of Longcleeve have been springing up, and the current section is almost finished. Section next to Bagend will be worked on next.
    - kisos

    Public Projects:

Bandit / Traveler Camps (Finished) - Lead: @PINT00
Our project is finished. I know there have been ups and a lot of downs, but Me, Ardelenia, Volcrest, and DSESGH would love to say Thank-You to everyone who made contributions big and small. To people who gave suggestions to those who participated in the leader contest we all would LOVE to say thank-you. We all can't say it enough, THANK-YOU THANK-YOU THANK-YOU THANK-YOU!
    - PINT00

Ethring (In Progress) - Lead: @AWOL777
    - no progress this week. -

Lothlórien Vegetation (In Progress) - Lead: @yourie98
Another section (#4) has gotten its trees pasted in, however, the jobs to finish more sections have yet to happen.

    Short Story Contest

    Short Story by The_AWOL - Part 2
Part 1 can be found >>here<<.

As he approached, he observed approximately 20 orcs, and no sign of troll. He climbed
a tree, planning to assault from the air. He did so nimbly, and hopped swiftly from limb to
limb, gaining quick ground toward his foes. In a small amount of time, he was right
above them. He peered down upon them. One conversation caught his attention.
“Should we be hunting the other one?”

“The other what?” snarled a different orc in return.

    “The elf, you halfwit.”

“I told you, I stuck him with an arrow. He’ll have died to the poison already.”

“Have you ever killed an elf?”

“Well no. But old Gert killed the one easy enough. Say, why don’t we kill the other one,
not like he’s any good to us, ‘live or dead.”

“Cause the master says he wants him alive, must have some use for the bugger.”
Aeolan gave them no more time for talk. He fell on them, and killed them skillfully in but a
    moment’s passing.

And it took small more time before a dozen orcs were upon him. It mattered little,
thought. Aeolan unsheathed his blade, and fought them one at a time, two at a time, or
three. They each fell. Suddenly a new swarm was upon him, and a thunderous growl. A
large troll loomed above. “Oh, look, another!” it exclaimed in a high voice. Some orcs
that now attacked were more skilled than the ones he felled earlier.

A shadow swiftly fell upon him. He lept to the left, barely evading the lethal blow of club
that ended his brother. Balancing the killing of orc and dodging the troll proved most
difficult, but Aeolan executed with tact. He was able to finish off all of the lesser orcs,
until all that was left was him and the monster. The next swing, Aeolan decided, would
    be the troll’s last.

And the troll slammed down his club, thus the elf jumped up, climbing up the creature’s
arm and rolling onto its back. He raised his sword, ready to plunge into the monster’s
head. However, the troll acted fast enough to grab Aeolan by the legs and off its neck.
“Oh, look here, another elf for supper tonight!” stated the troll as he held him upside
    down.

It would have been the end of the elf, if the troll was not suddenly attacked by a large
black figure. Aeolan was thrown to the side, as one monster attacked the other. When
he regained his senses, he realized that the black figure was a bear. Too large to be any
normal bear, he sensed something quite strange.

The two brutes battled on, as Aeolan lay against a tree, recovering. The bear knocked
over the troll. Then the bear was smashed and sent rolling from a hard club hit. The troll
had only a few seconds of relief before the beast sprang up and bit off three of its
fingers. Yet the bear was then smashed to the ground again.

Aeolan figured that the bear would win in the end, but still felt that he should help. He
picked up an orcish bow, and gained an idea. He fired three consecutive arrows into the
hind of the troll. This enraged the monster, who began to charge at him. Aeolan then ran
as fast as he was able toward a large clearing in the trees. He lept into the sunlight, and
the troll hardly recognized in time what was happening. It stopped itself just before
tumbling to its death. For a moment it glared at Aeolan, who stared back, kneeling in the
    light of the sun.

Suddenly, the troll was sent rolling forward, and then there sat the beast behind it. The
troll, now laying amidst the light of sun, began to move in slow, stuttered movements, as
    flesh turned into earth.

Aeolan stood across the bear now. He took a few steps back, and put his hand on his
sword hilt. The beast flared his teeth, then turned and started away.

Now came the moment he had been waiting for. He headed toward the troll cave to find
his brother. He climbed inside, and there waited for him the last remaining orc. It came
at him quickly, but still no challenge for the elf, who disarmed the orc and locked it in
place. Wisely, Aeolan did not kill the it. He unsheathed his sword, which in the presence
of the creature illuminated the cave. There we saw what he had longed to see for so
    long.

He rushed to his brother’s side, who was unconscious and bloodied. He killed his orc
hostage, and carried his brother outside. He propped him up on the earth to further
examine him. In the midst of the rousing, Fundil opened his eyes slightly. “Brother… you
    are no orc.” He smiled.

“Quiet save your strength, friend,” replied Aeolan. It mattered not, Fundil had already
lost consciousness again. Aeolan mounted them both on his horse, which he found
where he left it. He rode back toward the cottage that he had found. If the person who
lived there had healed him, then Aeolan had hoped he could heal his brother as well. If
not, then his brother was lost, for Aeolan deemed that he would not survive a journey
    back to the woodland halls.

In time he returned to the small cottage. When he knocked on the door, no one
answered this time, so Aeolan took it upon himself to open it. He set his brother upon a
cushioned armchair. For hours the owner of the house had not shown up. Aeolan used
what few elvish remedies he had been taught, which was clearly not going to suffice.

When night was upon them, the door opened, and in walked their host. He stumbled
inside and had to grab a pillar to keep his balance. Aeolan, who had been meditating,
was stirred by the commotion. “What was that?” he questioned.

“I did something I had not done in a long time. There was another pack of orcs, not but
two leagues north of here,” responded the host. He did not seemed overly surprised to
find the elf in his home. “Another elf needs healing. I hope the master of the Greenwood
elves plans on refunding my supplies.”

“I will personally see that you are paid in return for services, but please move with haste,
his condition is dire.” The large individual began a process strange to Aeolan, involving
cloth and strange colors of thick liquids, which seemed to come from bees. After a short
time, he wandered outdoors to gaze at the stars.

It was not long before he found himself back inside. “My name is Beorn, and when times
permit, I can turn into a large and monstrous bear,” said the owner of the house.

“For a moment, I wondered if it might be you who appeared at the battle, though
    considered the notion preposterous.”

“It is true, I am a skinchanger of old, and the last of my kind.” Beorn turned his head
toward Fundil. “He is healed to the full of my ability. Take him to your woodland home to
be fully restored. I have had my fill of elves for quite some time now, I believe.”

“Nonetheless, you have my utmost gratitude, stranger and friend,” Aeolan responded.
He gave an elvish hand gesture and departed. He loaded himself and his brother upon
    his horse and headed home.

    Closing Statement
In the Lord of the Rings aswell as the Hobbit and all other works from Tolkien we find really many songs and poems; poems about Elves, Men, Hobbits and Dwarves we've got, so why not also give the opponent of the free people of Middle-Earth something too?

    Sauron

The strongest men and wisest elves will fall…
My fate occurred an age or more ago
So long ago, that I can barely recall
The place where I saw the two old trees grow

My lord was battled, but I served him and learned
Through my cunning ways Númenor was drowned
I grow strong and dark days have returned
A new era begins, and I shall soon be crowned

New strength rises with a powerful new king
Believing he can do damage to my throne…
The fool believes he can wield my powerful ring
I’ll steal it and enslave all as my own

All houses and kins must answer my call
Brought by this phrase - one ring to rule them all

I could never find Hollin Ridge. Could you maybe mark on a screenshot of dynmap where it is now, and where it should be?

I think the Bruinen should rather go this way, seems more lore accurate :) .

On what bit of lore do you rely there? Chose it that way to have a longer hollin ridge

On the maps drawed by Tolkien. The shape and location of the Angle and the confluent would be more accurately placed with my way.

It's always cleare with a picture, so, here are the maps :) :
    maps-middle-earth.png
    middle_earth_map.jpg
As you can see, the two rivers are more vertical (North - South) than horizontal (East - West) and the confluent is almost under the Trollshaws. Furthermore, the south border of the Angle (formed by the same rivers) is actually quite far South.
Of course, our map isn't, will never and doesn't have to be 100 % lore-accurate, and the first reason for that is the scale, but I think that in your map the confluent point is truly too far Norh, which leads to a too much horizontally shaped Angle region.

Beside, you say you made it this way in order to get a longer Hollin Ridge, but I don't think I cut it so much :p . And with this third designe, it's even possible to get a more lore accurate angle whithout cuting your Hollin Ridge ;) :
    CylrfPy.jpg
Or even better, but would needed to curve the ridge:
    8rA5N8L.jpg
Unless, of course, if you mant a certain space between the ridge and the river, in which case it would indeed be a bit shorter, but I still think it would be better than the actual plan.

But of course, the final choice is yours.
