So far one quetion, will there be an actual gravel texture? I noticed the updated one in the current version of the Gondor pack and it's nice, much better then the old one, but it's still mixed with dirt, which doesn't look like the real gravel. The block is usable but more for some forest paths...

Addressing the optifine and performance discussion in #dev-public

I wanted to write about benefits, but didn't have much time yesterday. The benifts would be, definetly more textures, because of the biome specific texture annd ctm. That means, no longer we would need armourstands to get more textures and also, probably, we could much merge all of the packs...

Each block can have a diffrent biome. Once terrain is all set and ready, you start building on it. All you...

So the first priority now is to get all the current resource packs updated and then probably finishing what's left in Gondor?

So... When will Mordor be started?

Yeah, we definetly need to get more texturers for sure.

    Lond Daer Style

The numenoreans were more advanced then the gondorians. After the "Fall of Numenor" numenoreans started to mix with the regular people in middlearth and slowely started to loose their longevity and knowledge. So basicly the more you go back in time, the more advanced architecture you would see...

About Egyptian, I did hear an audio (or reading about it) Tolkien talking about this, but what he said was that Numenor resembled Egyptian culture in terms of monumental building and not the culture or architectural styles itself. The Argonath is a nice example of that. Must be care full here...
