    Joining the server can be done straight away, but you will have to pass the New Player Quiz. Use the The New Player Guide to get acquainted with our community.

The server doesn't use a whitelist anymore, it's a public server, (IP: build.mcmiddleearth.com) you just need to go through a quiz in the server before playing in the main maps. All the answers can be found here http://www.mcmiddleearth.com/pages/new-player-guide/
