The weirdest part is where it comes from. It's not a site, people come to it through Google Search.

We were mentioned in an Imgur top comment not that long ago (it had like 1800 points). It didn't link to anything and just said MCME. Could be that

In some aspect yes, but the origin of the increase is unknown. Usually it peaks when there's like an article or a post on a very popular website, and then I can look at the referrers where the traffic is coming from. If its organic, like people arriving from Google, you don't know where the sudden increased interest is coming from (magazine? mention in a video? written article somewhere?).

@gigo09 Ooh, do you remember when and where I can find this imgur post?

Because we don't get access to the map file... *sigh*

@gigo09 Oh yeah that would explain the increase. @_Luk Because who here knows Cinema4d or any other program well enough to make them? It's a matter of luck to find skilled people at times who are willing to invest their time into something

well i know how do them actually, tho mah computer isnt good enought for that. there is a programm called mineways where you can export the file as a 3D modell.
Afterwards you can just import it into Blender (or any other 3D Modelling Programm). So i would say that the real problem is to find a person with a good enough Computer, well and some skills to give the scene a nice lightning.

It basically works like that you can selected on a built-in dynmap-like map all the chunks you want to render, then ofc set point of view, lighting and many many more things. I think, technically you could make a picture of seeing Minas Tirith from Rauros and such (check whether there are some mountains between though :p).

It may require your PC rendering for a couple hours (as far as i remember my pic rendered 1-2 hrs), but the result may be epic. The program isnt that complicated, would be cewl if you could take a try!

(dang maximum char restriction :p)
