Introduction
Emyn Muil and the variety of locations inside it make the backdrop for some of the most memorable moments in the entire trilogy. It is here that the Fellowship splits up, and Frodo and Sam set out on the continuation of their journey alone. The project has been sitting untouched for some time, and now I am picking it up to finish off a large swathe of the Fellowships Path.

Project plan
In general, I aim to get this project finished by the end of the year. This is the current plan:
Stage 0 - Basic terrain and previously finished work
Thanks to the wonderful work done by @PacifistFighter, much of the terrainwork is already finished. As of the time of writing this, the Argonath, the Falls of Rauros, Tol Brandir and the hill of Amon Hen were done before I took over leadership, and these will remain (albeit with slight edits). Work has been done by me in the last month making a new version of the Seat of Amon Hen (check out /warp Amon Hen for the new version), terrain concepts for the Highlands which will be used, assembling a tree repository and finishing off/redoing small parts of the terrain in the valley to the west of the lake. @TheSweViking has been putting in massive work by reshaping and smoothing the lake and the shores directly next to it, and moving the top of Amon Hen southward to make it more visible/bring it in line with Amon Lhaw compared to the Falls. @NelmanBlack and @Green_Giant have helped out pointing out current lore inconsistensies/missing stuff, which will be added.
Stage 1 - Concepting, planning and finishing terrainwork
In stage 1, final terrain edits for the main area of Emyn Muil will be made. As mentioned before, Amon Hen has already been moved, and will be flipped and edited in the correct position for Amon Lhaw. Besides this, the main area that still needs work done is the river itself, combined with the rapids of Sarn Gebir. Small other adjustments for aesthetic/lore purposes will be made, and streams, canyons and other terrain features will be added, which can be built by commoners or in jobs.
At the time of writing this, I am in the process of making a final concept for the highland vegetation (that is, any area that is not surrounding the lake). A main forest concept will be started if/when new, darker and duller leaves will be added to the RP. These will reflect the aesthetics of the movie, and the fact that server time is set during autumn.
Ruins will be planned on the portageway around Sarn Gebir and around the lake (concentrated around the foot of the two hills), including those along the ruined road to the North Stairs. Concepts will be made for these by Dahl and I, matching the style that already exists for Amon Hen and the road toward it. For these structures, both the books and the movies will be used as source material.

Stage 2 - Applying concepts and building ruins
This second stage is fairly self-explanatory: the vegetation concepts for the highlands and the forests will be applied to the entirety of Emyn Muil. Final terrain tweaks will be made, mostly those that need to be added to account for lore accuracy (such as the North Stairs on the west of the Rauros, Aragorn's descent from the Wall of Rohan, and any changes to the path of Frodo and Sam). The planned ruins will be built by artist-(applicants). For the most part, this stage will be a lot of tree pasting, so when it comes to it, help with this would also be appreciated.Stage 3 - Surrounding areas and finishing touches
During this final stage, the main focus is to blend the Emyn Muil in with its surroundings. To the west, the Wold is situated against the Wall of Rohan: this will not be a part of this project. To the south, the mouths of the Entwash will be blended in, together with the Nindalf. The same will be done for the Dead Marshes to the east, and the small triangle of land that's situated between Emyn Muil and the last two places mentioned. The north border will be left relatively crude, as this will be left as an area to expand to in the future. Finally, a revision will take place, during which we will make the whole area feel like one finished project.Concepts

Inspiration
A note about stylistic choiches:
The main idea for the forests is to follow the feel and the vibe of the movies, while being more akin to northern hemisphere forests. Lower down near the shore of the lake it will be mostly beeches, while the higher up you go, you will find spruces and small pines. There will also be rowan trees scattered around in higher areas, as these are mentioned in the books and fare well in the mountains. Any ruins that are seen in the movies will be built, and we will fill in any more areas as we see fit. Those viewing the concepts and Amon Hen may also note the lack of moss, which is to stick better to the dry theme and also because of the lack of proper blocks to support them.
