Hey there!

A couple of things worth checking, we are running Minecraft 1.14 make sure you are running this version. We are a java server so you will not be able to connect with the Bedrock (Windows) edition. And the ip to use is build.mcmiddleearth.com

And they can't log onto the server with a cracked account either. Other than that you covered pretty much all of the most common connection failure issues right there.
