Resolved Usernames

I'm a new member, this is my first post. The question I want to ask is, can I use a different username on this site than I do for Minecraft itself? My Minecraft name is Ruiluth, but for this site I would prefer to use a proper Sindarin or Quenya name. Is that allowed or am I stuck with my little-loved Minecraft name? I know I can't change my username for either (yet), but I would be fine with creating a new account for this site, since I haven't done anything yet.
