    Probably when a current guide resigns. In the meantime, you should work on helping a lot of people and hanging out in ts and ingame a lot so people get to know you, as it is necessary for a promotion. For example, when lizzy was first promoted to ranger everybody knew who she was.

    We have a good number of Guides right now (not saying that one more wouldn't be possible). Keep in mind though that there are like 50 other people interested in the rank and you have to be the best of them to actually get promoted. Also what DSE said is very true.
