I have heard rumors about a hidden Balrog in Moria for a few weeks now. However, despite my searches, I have been unable to find him. First of all, if it doesn't exist, please tell me right now, as I really really do not want to waste anymore of my life. If it DOES exist though, it would spoil the fun if you guys just told me where it was. I have an idea, though. If anyone here could give me a cryptic riddle or tricky hint on where this balrog is, I would really appreciate it. Or, if you just want to keep me in the dark, that's fine too I guess. :)

Very cryptic. Hmmm lets see, so you mentioned red.... lava is red..... It must be somewhere near lava!

Following your logic...

Firetrucks have 4 wheels and 8 men.
4+8=12
There's 12 inches in a ruler
Queen Elizabeth
was a ruler
The queen Elizabeth
was also a ship
That ship sailed the seven seas
Those seas had fish in them
Those fish had fins
The Finns fought the Russians
The Russians wore red
Firetrucks are always rushin(g)
Is that why firetrucks are always red???????????

The point?
Don't read too much into things.

Nice Logic! I always knew that there was a good reason!

Now, are there any firetrucks in MCME?

At the time of the War of the ring there was ONE Balrog left
Balrogs have TWO wings
2+1 = 3
Half Life 3 confirmed
Technically speaking its possible Balrogs had no wings... So yeah , still gotta wait for more half life.

As a matter of fact..... once upon a time, there was the Fornost Fire Department.

I did some fairly extensive exploring (getting lost) in Moria and I didn't find anything that resembled a Balrog. However, I also know I didn't go down every path possible so who knows. Maybe there is a creature hiding in the deep...

You know, I am starting to suspect someone made this up to trick me....... But, until we prove that; we must keep searching!

Once I saw a giant red statue of someone close to the east gate, but I don't think it is a balrog. Maybe someone thought it was one.
