The application forums' main purpose is to ease the application evaluation process for those that evaluate the applications by collecting them in one, easy to look through place where skills can be shown and constructive criticism and simmilar feedback can be given. However as of late I have noticed that a lot of unrelated chit-chat have been starting to appear in the comment sections of various applications, most notably in the Artist applications.

My proposal is that we make a combined effort to try and return to and then maintain that unspoken rule of only posting comments directly relevant to the application itself that we used to have and which worked fine up until some months ago.

Giving constructing criticism on an application is absolutely fine. It is answering to these with or simply leaving comments which are not tips or constructive criticism relevant to the application which is the problem. They clutter up the applicant's application and makes it harder for the persons who reviews the applications to review them.
So could we please refrain from continuing this unwanted practice in the future?

oh, i'm one of those that got distracted from the application itself... My apologies to the people whoms threads it were and to Fin for makin the applies less organized.

Thanks for speaking up ryt!
I don't mind it too much, as long as I can still easily distinguish the relevant posts, but generally I wholeheartedly agree witho you. I also want to point out that I think it's great that the apps are now publically visible, it offers a lot of possibilities for me and the applicants to compare different applications and have players learn from each other even more; after all that's a base idea of the TB's

The whole purpose of having the applications private stemmed from constantly getting notifications of comments from others, encouraging and jokes and whatnot, that did not pertain to the replies from those in charge with viewing/approving/feedback on applications. I distinctly remember requesting making applications private because of the amount of off topic comments on applications. So as long as the rule of thumb remains keeping comments on topic with the application, I’m all for it.
