Hi, I'm about a year that I look at this network, without ever becoming really active, perhaps because I'm not good at building, maybe because I do not know much English. Below the video of the trailer for Gondor, I was confronted with someone who said that it was forbidden to download the map server. I will quote here a part of the EULA of Minecraft:
If you make any content available on or through our Game, you must give us permission to use, copy, modify and adapt that content. This permission must be irrevocable, and you must also let us permit other people to use, copy, modify and adapt your content. If you don‘t want to give us this permission, do not make content available on or through our Game. Please think carefully before you make any content available, because it will be made public and might even be used by other people in a way you don‘t like.
The EULA says that if you publish a content (maps) on a server or on any other site you must allow the end user to download, modify and redistribute the map without problems. The original author may not revoke then these "rights," but may indicate if they do not say who the original author. Of course, nobody in their right mind would download more than 2GB!
I do not think you understand if your regulation punishes those who download the map, modifying and redistributing saying who the original authors. Obviously I do not speak of images, sounds or video, I speak only of maps of Minecraft. I would like a clarification you, hoping that it complies with the EULA of Minecraft, maybe that is not too restrictive.

Thank you so much for reading, appearance response. LelixSuper (SuperLako in the game)!

First, your building skills are surely not influenced by your ability of speaking english
I think this go against copyright, no ?
No in fact, they are two separate things English and the building xD
According to the EULA you could not put the copyright to a map of Minecraft (again, only Minecraft Map!)

I did agree with the EULA for VIP advantages and stuff ... But not allowed to put copyright on a map is against any logic. It means that a guy of is terrible at building could download a 4 years of work map and claim himself  ... Not even concerning MCME, that is so lowering for map builders who spend hours of work to see their map stolen ...

You do not understand, the user that the download can not say that he has done, because in this case he violates the EULA, it must be said that the force has made the network of MC Middle Earth (as an example) . He can, however, modify it and distribute it, but he has always said that he is not the author.

"you must also let us permit other people to use, copy, modify and adapt your content"

Right, so even though I'm suspect this adresses content such as mods, texturepacks, plugins and not maps...
Even if it did however, it means you must give Mojang permission to use, copy, modify and adapt it. In extent, as seen in the quote above, they can permit a 3rd party to use, copy, modify and adapt any of the content they are talking about.

So if Mojang sends an email saying, you have to give X and Y acces to your content based on our EULA, yes you have to do that. It is however not a free pass for anyone to state they should have acces to content created for minecraft.

I was wrong email, I do not have one where the Mojang proprosito responds to this. According to the EULA if I download, always with the example of the map server, map, modify it and take it only Ortanc then use it in my server saying that it was built by MC Middle Earth, I would respect the EULA and then should be allowed.

p.s. Where is my original message?

This screenshot does not support your claim. What it is saying is "don't steal other peoples shit and say it's your own" which is what MCME is trying to stop people doing. "you must not make any content available, using the game, that infringes the rights of anyone else."
At least that's what it said until you edited your post.

The email was wrong, he spoke of the sale of maps, not of their publication.

To clear this up really well. The full EULA is available at https://account.mojang.com/documents/minecraft_eula

Our Terms of Service actually covered most of these things already, especially the part what actions and content are forbidden, way before their new EULA came into effect.

CONTENT
If you make any content available on or through our Game, you must give us permission to use, copy, modify and adapt that content. This permission must be irrevocable, and you must also let us permit other people to use, copy, modify and adapt your content. If you don‘t want to give us this permission, do not make content available on or through our Game. Please think carefully before you make any content available, because it will be made public and might even be used by other people in a way you don‘t like.

If you are going to make something available on or through our Game, it must not be offensive to people or illegal, it must be honest, and it must be your own creation. The types of things you must not make available using our Game include: posts that include racist or homophobic language; posts that are bullying or trolling; posts that might damage our or another person‘s reputation; posts that include porn, advertising or someone else‘s creation or image; or posts that impersonate a moderator or try to trick or exploit people.

Any content you make available on our Game must also be your creation. You must not make any content available, using the Game, that infringes the rights of anyone else. If you post content on our Game, and we get challenged, threatened or sued by someone because the content infringes that persons rights, we may hold you responsible and that means you may have to pay us back for any damage we suffer as a result. Therefore it is really important that you only make content available that you have created and you don‘t do so with any content created by anyone else.

It says, you must give us (that is, Mojang AB) the permission to use, copy, modify and adapt that content. It also says "you must also let us permit other people to use, copy, modify, and adapt your content.

They have the permission, but they have to request the content. In no way are people obliged to publicly make it available. If Mojang decides to then distribute that content, then they are allowed to do that.

The EULA says that if you publish a content (maps) on a server or on any other site you must allow the end user to download, modify and redistribute the map without problems.

It does not say that. This is what you think it says. It says literally: You must allow us. Which is Mojang, not the people who agree to the EULA or anyone else, only Mojang.

And all this has a ground for discussion, since the servers are located in Germany, German laws apply there. In Germany (and Belgium as well) editing the EULA after a purchase has been made is forbidden. I purchased the software when you didn't had to agree to a EULA, you only agreed to certain copyright information. So I'm not bound by it :-)

Thanks for the reply. I did not know that Germany was forbidden to change the EULA and that the server is not accepted it because he was born again the EULA did not exist. The crux of the question is simply this: we normal users can download, modify and redistribute pieces of the map or map of the server MC Middle Earth declaring that those who are the original authors?
I do not speak of other material, since it is already specified in the terms of service that is under Creative Commons. I do not I will put all the EULA of Minecraft, but I put the link for the full EULA, so I did not want to fool you. Unfortunately I do not know who I've deleted my first post...

Why would you want to download the map in the first placeo_O You can just play on the server, and it's not like the community is rude or anything like that.

In fact, I do not want to download it, but there are people who download and pretends to be her. This would also be a fool, since the map is very large xD

Pretty simple: No. It's mentioned in the Minecraft EULA that it is forbidden, and upon registering here on the website, you actually agreed to the Terms of Service, which forbids it as well.

Ok, thanks for the clarification!
