• Welcome to MCME!

Minecraft Middle Earth is a Minecraft community that recreates the world described by JRR Tolkien and his writings. Everyone can participate in organized events in which we collaborate to create major landmarks, terrain, caves, castles, towns, farms and more.

Choices:

Guidelines
By participating in a ThemedBuild you agree to abide by the following guidelines.

Lots:
  • You can find the lots at the freebuild server, at /warp theme.
  • Claim a free lot by placing a sign on the diamond block, and typing your name.
  • You should not leave comment signs on yours, or any other player's builds.
  • One player per lot, no skipping empty lots.
  • People who have reserved a lot but not built in it in the first 2 hours may have their claim removed by staff members, and staff members only.
  • Any lots that do not follow the guidelines will be removed without warning.
  • Builds should not extend outside of your lot.
  • You may only ask for a Staff member's assistance with blocks that you cannot place. This generally includes water, no-physics materials, and fire. Staff will not help you with terraforming, copy-pasting, flipping or moving your ThemedBuilds.
Applications:
  • You'll need screenshots of at least one themed build as part of an Artist application.
  • All builds submitted in your application must be entirely your own work, and must have been completed during the allotted time.
  • Screenshots should be taken using the resourcepack defined at the top of this post.
  • Take at least one screenshot of your build with your lot-sign clearly visible.

NOTICE

If you are confused by the way themebuilds work now read this post.

When you claim a plot there is a 50% chance you're on the wrong side of the road. I decided to use the fancy new model functionality but mistakenly didn't create a model that could be viewed from both sides ^^. If you're plot is the wrong way round, just start building, I'll try to get on once a day to flip all plots that are generated this way ;).
I'll start talking with the developers to implement a bit of code that automatically rotates the model for generation on the other side of the road.

EDIT yes the plot size is different, that is because I used a custom model. The size can be whatever size that model is, from 5x5 to 500x500.
