The new Artist Jobs List lists all kinds of jobs that can be claimed and executed by Artists at any time as long as they appear in the list. Please consider the following notes and rules:
  • Only Artists can claim jobs from the Artist Jobs List (exception: Enforcers that have hold either the rank of Artist or Designer (or an aequivalent older rank) before and they deem their building skills to be good enough).
  • Artists claiming a job have to enter their names into the column "Artist(s) claiming" in the Artist Jobs List. No other parts of the spreadsheet should be changed by Artists.
  • Only claim one task at a time.
  • If a task has been completed and checked by the responsible Designer, the Designer will clear the job from the list. Artists should not clear jobs they completed by themselves.
  • If a task has already been claimed, another Artist can work on the same job, if either...
    - ...the other Artist claiming is online as well. Ask him whether you can help.
    - ...the task is easily dividable and/or does not need a lot of planning or creative input that could be misunderstood. Practically speaking: Simple things like fields or roads can easily be continued by another Artist, but bridges and houses rather not.
  • An Artist claiming a job does not mean he has the sole permission to edit the build in question. Another Artist may tune in even in absence of the intial claimer (as described above) or the responsible Designer may assign/offer the task to anyone else at any time.
  • Please note that as of now no effort will be made to always have jobs available through the Artist Jobs List. For obvious reasons a Designer will always first try to offer the task to an Artist that is online and available before entering it into the Artist Jobs List. The Designer may also remove the task from the list even before it was claimed in order to assign it otherwise.

Perhaps it would be good if only designers could edit the build of the artist without the artists permission? So artists are not allowed to change each others builds dramatically without talking to each other about it first

Perhaps it would be good to add a suggested amount of artists designed to one task? This would prevent misunderstanding among artists signed up for a project and other artists/designers.

Both no, sorry. This is just a small additional offer we provide and we'd like to keep it as simple as possible. Both problems can be solved when the Artists simply think a bit about what the job is and make an own decision whether it now is a good idea to work on an already claimed job or not. I think we can expect that much initiative from the Artists ;)
