Resolved can't join server

i just tried to join the server but it keeps saying "outdated server! I'm still on {0}" what dose that even mean and how do i join the server? sorry if this sounds noobish just asking for help :3 im editing this im so sorry i just realized that when i changed the whatever it is the 1.8 thing, it didnt save so yea i think im good maybe... sorry

Help threads are the exceptions, there could be similar problems but they don't want to make an entirely new thread and create clutter.

There may be many possible reasons for that, to really help you we need some more information, maybe a screenshot of the error message or with what MC version you were trying and so on
