Failed to connect to server. Authentication servers currently not reachable

i cant get it the server is there though but it just says this

im on mac btw java running 1.19.2

The error is probably on Mojang`s/Microsoft`s side. Authentication servers should be back quickly (a few minutes). Otherwise it could be a problem with your internet connection. Maybe you have a firewall not configured to let your Client communicate with the Authentication servers?

To join the MCME server you best use version 1.18.2. With later versions you'll have some weird textures.
