Hey y'all, so it came. My humble application for artist.

I've been here since, 19 july, 2018, which makes about 2 months. (Exactly 2 months by tomorrow in fact.) I'd consider myself quite active ever since then, but I've realized that Commoner just ain't enough for me. (In terms of feeling like a part of this community).

I've done a couple of jobs recently, 3 destroying interior in Dol Amroth and 3 (I think) doing vegetation at Osgiliath. I've done a plot-tunnel in the WaterWorks in Moria as well, but I can't find it, unfortunately.
But I must admit I've found the Themes somewhat boring. The only theme I'll confess I've made is the Watchouse* one from wayyy back in the day where I still was an adventurer - ever since has most been An Unexpected Journey.
(Almost all jobs has been with our lord an savior Barteldvn. - If you need further information/confirmation of my doings, ask him.)

Of additional build: Oh lord. Quite a few. They're attached below. (From Freebuild)

My interest revolves around medieval farmer-houses (gondorian), straight as well as diagonal. I like to experiment a lot, which has let me to what I call a "Tilted House". I don't think many have done this before, nor will do it again as it's completely unusable, but it was great fun. I've aswell some interests when it comes to terraforming, I'm still inexperienced though, so many attempts are followed by the fast-left-clicking-of-undoing skill.

I'm a quick learner and my building skills have improved a lot since I had a build-battle against BWOT the very first day I came here. This got me introduced to your style of building the best, though most stressful way ever, and I've tried to transform my previous very High-Fantasy style of building to something more usable in an MCME-sense.

My motivation, still not changed since the very first day, comes from the massive inspiration I get when I'm traveling around the map. As long as I'm inspired by it, it'll probably never fade.

*I'm currently unable to find my Watchhouse. It is ruined now btw because I build it in the old rp m, which isn't the same at all now. You can have a look if you can find it, but keep in mind that much has changed since I build it.

PS: I'm sry for the FOV, can't find where to change it, but I hope the builds has satisfied you anyway.

Press esc and that bring you to the menu, go to setting or options (idk what it’s called) and then Video Settings, should be one of the options there.

You say it’s all just fantasy like, but I feel like your builds just need to be planned a little bit more and need to be a little less chaotic. Your building style remind me of Grian, a lot of stairs and slabs in a double wall. I am interested because you said you can do diagonal houses, I would want to see some more, but try for next time to build something which is more planned and even more to our style. I am going to create a warp with some imo good example of diagonals. Also I would ofc always recommend using the Gondor rp as that’s the structure and block types we are going to be using the most.

Update. (It goes bigger.)
So. I made a bigger build. To show you that I can fit such together and to show you my level of determination when it comes to finishing a build:
2018-09-21_22.24.32.webp2018-09-21_22.24.51.webp2018-09-21_22.25.06.webp2018-09-21_22.25.52.webp2018-09-21_22.26.51.webp
This build is about 100 blocks tall. It's located in a remote place of Freebuild, but msg me, and Ill take you to it.

Furtherly I've done another job in the meantime:
Farm walls with thomasd19

Grian? Never heard of the guy tbh. But sure.
I have checked my Video Settings, believe me... A lot. But since I installed Optifine, I can't find it.
What is your warp called?

I liked the interiors you did in Gemli's shop, good work. But for the other builds, like Bwot said. They need to be a bit more planed. You need to work on the details a bit. Add details where it makes sence to add them not just for the sake of details. I think a lot of players do that and then it looks too chaotic. But that shouldn't be too much of a problem. Also try building in the updated gondor packs. You get more extra blocks like a lot of extra trapdoor and vertical slab blocks. You can make builds look a lot better, with nicer details. It's good to learn using those vert blocks because this is pretty much where we are heading.

Also, you need at least one or two good theme builds to get on the watchlist. You can also update your old builds, no problem with that.

My forums are acting up I think, but I cannot see the 2nd page of your application. Whenever I try to go to the 2nd page it keeps on routing me to the first.

*Edited later*

Nvm... seems to be fine now. Anyway, I still feel your builds currently have a very "out of place" shape to them. Bringing something new is all well and good, but being Artist is mainly repeating already made styles with your own twist. If you demonstrate that in your next update we could move forward with your application a lot faster ;)

I'm afraid you might need to specify "out of place". Umm... The only thing I uploaded of which I 've totally done myself (as many of my plots are the development of what was there already. Such as vegetation in OSGO, streets of DA and the road in Belfalas, which were accepted by yourself) is my 50% done Theme Build.
Unless you will guide me through your thoughts, I might not be able to update this with any builds that will satisfy you. :)

Are you the mysterious barrel-guy perhaps? Because someone commented on my street section. A little sign just saying "too unrealistic" to two boxes resting upon the house wall on top of a barrel. I asked whom it was, as I can't edit there myself. :)

Imma quote Roel2005 as the last thing here, because he really made my day with a single sentence:
"Fexel is the most artist Commoner I've ever seen." :D

As an artist your job will be to work on the main map but your builds in my opinion dont really fit the style we have, what BWOT is saying is that you have to work more in our style so we know you have something to contribute with.

What I was replying to BWOT was that "building our style" is very unspecific. I've tried. And you've seen that. But I can't work your designs out with 3 words. I need some guidance.

There is a rendering problem with this build, however, meaning that it is almost impossible to get good pictures of it. Else I'd had put more photos here.

I was checking your plot earlier, pretty good. Just interiors need a bit more details, like maybe some skulls, spiderwebs,.... If you add that, I'll put you on the watchlist.
