Grond

[bender400]

Hey guys, I know that were not going to place siege weapons outside of Minas Tirith, like grond for instance, so I though it would be cool to have them in some sort of warehouse or factory, what do you guys think?

[bender400]

In Mordor. *

[Fireinferno13]

It is extremely likely that there will be siege weapons and such being crafted in mordor when we build it Not sure how long Grond itself took to complete so depending on that, it may or may not be present as well!

[Will_em]

Yeah I think the siege thing is just a try at some designs. Nothing is actually planned for it or anything. With the construction of pelennor fields pretty close to the city, I doubt if we'll place siege and war constructions.

[MattTheLegoman]

But the siege workshops of Minas Morgul might have some in progress. =D Fantastic idea guys.

"Grond was forged in Mordor by Smithies of Barad-dûr during the final years of the Third Age, specifically for use by the army besieging the city of Minas Tirith in Gondor."

Because of this, we should expect to see Grond near or in Barad-dûr itself, likely down in the forges.

[Mr_Smithz]

Well at least we know how to get them if we want an army of gronds...

My tower should be placed somewhere in mordor too. Too bad RP wont probably fit it.

Return of the King

They must of had a difficult time getting it through the Morgul Pass. =p

[wheelleee]

In the lord of the rings, most of the army went through the cirith gorgor, the pass of the black gate, while a smaller army came out of minas mirgul to join the main host at osgiliath.

I would like to see the Ram itself made, but the carrier being constructed near it, giving it a feeling of being unfinished.

[wyliewylie]

Maybe it would be on display somewhere in morder to "inspire" the orcs before the main army set out?

[Portalrules333]

It would be cool to see Grond in barad-dur (which would also be huge). Wish we could see it in action, but that will have to do.

Yeah, i was thinking that the head part would be displayed somewhere in barad dur

[superminer4563]

Just a random question, but will Barad-dur have a eye on the top like in the Pete's films? Or will it be book version?

[Finrod_Amandil]

thats not an easy question and we will still have to discuss that. The problem is the same as with the outer Minas Tirith wall which in the book is black but in the movie is white, but with Barad-dûr we wont be able to do a compromise solution as we did with the MT wall...

Personally, I can't wait to see all of Mordor come to life with an appropriate RSS Pack.
