It'd be nice to have cross-platform play. Maybe with the MS purchase, we might at least get crossover with the XBone version in the future.
 
Surely it will be impossible to put the map into Xbox and Play Station because our map is way bigger than the size of the worlds in both consoles and versions.

Not at all. When playing on xbox you dont render the whole world so playing on a server would be fine. It would take a small amount of work protocol wise to make the versions sync up but after that you should be good to go. It would be a similar story on phones although there would probably be heavy lag cuz phones are bad :p
 
I know the 360 version's maps were limited to something like 750x750 blocks, but do the current-gen consoles have any limits at all? They certainly have the HDD space to handle hefty map files.
