• Welcome to MCME!

Minecraft Middle Earth is a Minecraft community that recreates the world described by JRR Tolkien and his writings. Everyone can participate in organized events in which we collaborate to create major landmarks, terrain, caves, castles, towns, farms and more.

Idea 1: There should be different “versions” of the main world for certain areas such as the Balrog, Isengard, Minas Tirith, etc. These “versions” of the map would follow the dates that are laid out in Lord of the Rings. For example, Minas Tirith’s fields would be changed to burnt down fields on the date that the Orcs attacked Minas Tirith. Another example would be Isengard, we could have a version of Isengard that’s burnt down with the whole mining operation and stuff that was happening there, and this version would get pulled onto the map at/around the date that Saruman started doing evil things, and would get reset on the date that the fellowship defeats Sauron or something like that.

Idea 2: The new “New Player World” should be on Valinor and when new players finish the New Player Quiz they should be presented with Valinor’s harbor and several ships that they can hop onto. When they go on a ship it’ll sail out of the harbor and then teleport them to a certain part of MCME (different for each ship). This would make it more interactive for newer players, because they’ll be able to choose where they first experience MCME.

I like the first idea. Should not be bard to have some command for guides to switch between the versions. It can bascially be done with Animation plugin.

There are already detailled plans for a new MCME Hub and the New Player Introduction as a part of it. It will be more interactive and let people more freedom to choose their first experience.
