Hello y’all!

In an effort to increase the number of tours, the Guide Team is now organizing regular tours.

We will now have scheduled tours every Saturday. They will be at at 9 PM GMT.

Not all Guides will be in all tours, but if you join the Build server at one of those times you can be sure that there will be a tour running : )

Also, it does not mean that there won’t be any tours happening on other dates or times.

The location will be decided by you.
To vote for next Saturday’s your location, fill the form HERE.

If you have any questions or requests for a custom tour, just post them here : )

Mute had once tried this not long ago on the old forums, and it never successfully took off.

Hello everyone. As you may have seen in the MCME Times, the Weekly Tour for this week will be a special one. In honor of Saturday being Valentine's Day, we will be doing a tour about the various romantic relationship from the lore. It will take place at the usual time of 9PM GMT and should be a lot of fun so we hope to see many of you there!

Nothing like MCME to make me forget my single status (as of this very week). Fortunately that accursed pairing in the recent Hobbit trilogy is non-canon and not even worth mentioning. Otherwise count me in even though I'm still not entirely returning until I've completed 6 out of the approximately 20 Middle-Earth franchise books.

If you hate the romance, then check out the edited edition of The Hobbit Trilogy here, it cuts the whole trilogy down into one 4 hour movie I believe: https://tolkieneditor.wordpress.com/

Also, @DarthRagnar, 9PM GMT would be 5PM Atlantic Time, right?

I saw an article on that. Though I personally enjoyed seeing their interpretation of Dol Guldur. That scene with Sauron was probably my favourite of the those movies. Back on the topic, what I like about scheduled tours is I don't feel like I'm deliberately asking someone to do something for me even though that's their job :p

Special Gandalf Tour

Hello everyone, I would like to invite you to a very special themed tour. This Saturday’s Weekly Tour will be all about the journey of Gandalf in Middle Earth. Join in visiting major locations along his path and hopefully gain some insight into one of the most important characters of the story. The fellowship will begin at 7PM BST (1PM CDT) on Saturday April 4th. I hope to see many of you there.

I think what I enjoy most in how Tolkien wrote Gandalf is even his descriptions or references involving him are vague at first, only to give way to the truth later on. Gandalf being the bearer of the third elven ring was one of my favourite surprises that you don't get if you settle on watching the movies.
