Yay I am back among the living and at last I can again indulge into MCME things without constantly having to feel bad about it and that I probably should be learning right now... I intended to put many many hours into Moria this week, but oh boy there were so many other things going on that now as I am trying to sum it all up in one post my head starts to hurt and I always have to think that I am missing something for sure. So if anyone still expects me to do something, please remind me, I might have forgotten...
Additionally, our summer survival has been concluded past Saturday with a more derpy than epic closing battle whose winner I can proudly announce to be my teammate @Julien16o3! Congratulations on your victory! As a special feature this week (as if the massively elongated project reviews would not have been enough work already) I present you a collection of bases of various teams I found while flying around with my second account. I for sure have not found every base, but it may at least give you an idea what some other teams were up to.
Now enjoy my first comeback edition of the MCME Times, and, err, before you ask, no, I don't think every edition from now on will be as extensive as this one, sorry (Work invested: 6 hours, not counting a lot of "side quests" that needed to be done )

Andrast (In Progress) - Lead: @jacenpeter
It is taking a long time, but it is worth every second: Progress in Andrast is progressing slowly but steady under the hands of @jacenpeter and @Wroxxite, and regarding the results: It is no joke and no rhetorical figure or whatever: I am dead serious that I am freaking envious about the terrain that's being created there and I am quite a bit annoyed that jacen's mountain concept looks significantly better than mine in the misties .
In more detail, Wrox has continued to work on the southern tip of Andrast: He performed some fine terraforming and started applying the materials matching to what jacen came up with.
Jacen has worked on three different spots, first a valley + shore about in the middle of Andrast, secondly he fiddled around with the biome around Iant Dirnen, and lastly he continued progress northwards through the massive stone desert by using the smallest possible brush size (/b 0) to meticulously shape the terrain to perfection.
Belfalas (In Progress) - Lead: @Thijs1801
In the project of thousand Designers progress is being made on every corner of the fief. But of course no progress is too small to remain unmentioned in the Times, so here's a breakdown of hopefully everything that changed this week!
Voxel-related we have the following changes:
The biggest achievement this week at least in terms of how much work was put into it is the valley near Lostfalls. @Eriol_Eandur, @Darki190 and @Eaglz24 have invested loads of time there, while Eaglz focused on the vegetation, Darki completed most of the materials, following the detailed instructions of our river-master Eriol.
Eriol himself made good progress with voxelling the northern end of Belfalas around Dol Amroth. All has been converted to sand and is currently being molded into final shape.
@Thijs1801 has mostly completed the materials and vegetation in the area surrounding Methrast, additionally @Wraith_Knight has added biomes and some trees to the area near Windmaw.
Additionally the Artist team has done miraculous work in a multitude of villages. As much as I'd like to mention everyone who helped and where, it would simply be too many names to list, so here just the breakdown per village:
Misty Mountains (On Hold) - Lead: @Finrod_Amandil
It's a bit sad that I have to suspend the progress here right while I'm recording for that timelapse video, but for the sake of Moria it's inevitable. See you around, beloved mountains!
MORIA (New (kinda)) - Lead: @Despot666 & @Finrod_Amandil
Well I have not had a lot of time yet to gain a foothold in Moria since my exams are over but I decided to join and support @Despot666 in this project with dimensions we have never had on a single project before. Despot will keep the artistic lead and will be in charge of the resource pack and the styles to be built while I will take an organisational lead position. You wonder what I am organising? Well I won't tell just yet, but brace for big news coming out of the dark deep realm that is MORIA.
Tolfalas (In Progress) - Lead: @Tyranystrasz
It's still a bit a solo adventure that @Tyranystrasz is undertaking on Tolfalas. But his town is slowly filling up with houses and is enchanting with its very own style and charm.
Valley of Erui (In Progress) - Lead: @Mandos

Additionally the Artist team has done miraculous work in a multitude of villages. As much as I'd like to mention everyone who helped and where, it would simply be too many names to list, so here just the breakdown per village:
- In the north of Belfalas a small town is being established under the lead of @BeatHeav3N. While most progress this week was done by his own hands, there still were a few other artists tuning in to the creation of this location.
- From (almost) zero to completion the village Windmaw was brought this week thanks to the hands of a multitude of Artists, especially noteworthy though is the amount of work @iSMiTHz and @greglas2 did put into this place.
- Close to Windmaw lies the big town of Methrast. There was so much progress there this week that it was plainly impossible for Prism to list it all, in the past four days the cap of 200 pages of block breaks and placements was already filled. The most recent addition is the district in the northwestern corner of Methrast.
- The finishing touches on the town and a lot of work on the mines can be seen in the village of Coaldael on the westcoast of Belfalas. Main contributors here are probably @thomasd_17 and @ReniMarus along with many other players clad in purple.
- I myself started a checkup of the finished villages and threw a critical glance at every single house in the villages of Goldarce, Rimaer, Silverbay and Steelmoar. Thanks to iSMiTHz and @yourie98 who helped me fix and add a few things!

A while ago @Mandos ripped up another part of Gondor that may have been considered finished by many but honestly did not receive a lot of love so far and that is the valley shaped by the river named Erui between Minas Tirith and Pelargir. New villages, farms and most importantly a new and much better river is the planned outcome of this project.
Animation Plugin (In Progress) - Dev: @Ivan1pl
Ivan is currently working on the animation triggers. Triggers are what make the animations start running. While the Loop trigger (the animation runs continously) and the Range trigger (animation starts when someone is close) are already working, the Chat trigger (animation is started by typing something in chat) and Interaction trigger (e.g. pressing a button) require a lot more work still.
Plotbuild, Architect and Minigames (Implementation pending) - Devs: @Eriol_Eandur & @Ivan1pl

This week the glorious message came to my ears that @q220 finally is about to have some spare time on his hands and thus is able to give the new plugins a try! This means that we can all dearly hope for that we see the new plugins on the server somewhen during the upcoming week!
New New Player World (Implementation pending) - Dev: @Eriol_Eandur, Assistance: @_Luk
While q hasn't mentioned NPW exactly it may still be that we can also give this one a try next week!
In the course of the week we had two Artist promotions, once someone new and once an old face returning to MCME. It is very nice to see more and more formal members doing a comeback!
- Congratulations for the Artist promotion to @Genwlinldal!
- Welcome back to @bobingvar!
First of all beside the silent resignation of @Kulmo who has been mentioned in last week's Times there were further resignations of Enforcer @Ghundra and the Guides @CEFKILLA96 and @mingthemusical.
Then what came in right as I was writing the Times: Designer @Credoo decided the lay aside the green cloak for the time being to refill his Minecraft batteries.
Furthermore I have checked on the activity of all Artists and in conclusion demoted a total of 7 Artists back to Adventurer.
This means that we currently have the following counts of members per rank:
- Head: 3
- Enforcer: 2
- Designer: 18
- Guide: 3
- Artist: 34

So seems like not everyone was happy with the comics I used to pick for this section for a while, so let's get back to the roots and conclude this edition with a nice quote!
I picked this one particularily in respect of whats already been done and still will be done for Moria:
“We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.”
- Maya Angelou
