Opening statement
Another exciting week with a lot of changes going on, just a bit unfortunate that they were a bit overshadowed for me by some rather unpleasant IRL events, but that is nothing you need to worry about . So without further ado, here's what happened this week!
Project Progress
Andrast - south end
Belfalas - new forest near Lostfalls
Belfalas - Methrast
Belfalas - Methrast
Moria - vertical connector hall
Andrast (In Progress) - Lead: @jacenpeter
The plotbuild that was held here seemed to be very successful! All plots claimed and almost all of them successfully finished!
Watch out for new plotbuilds using /plot list!
Additionally to the town itself, work on the mine behind it has started!
MORIA (In Progress) - Lead: @Despot666 & @Finrod_Amandil
While both Andrast workers have done their fair share of progress for this week it seemed clear from the number of pages prism yielded for me that they mostly took a break from voxelling this week. They well deserved it!
Belfalas (In Progress) - Lead: @Thijs1801
From north to south:
Lamedon (In Progress) - Lead: @_Luk- Eriol is still being strong lead in the terraforming of the northern part of Belfalas and now also has gotten some help by Darki and some non-staff members that were able to help in the manual fine terraforming using one of those new fancy plotbuilds. It is a very interesting development we're currently seeing: Terrain is more and more often being done by hand these days. Our quality of terrain is getting so high that not even Voxel is good enough anymore for it...
- The houses to be built around Lostfalls have been victims to a bit a communication problem between iSMiTHz and Thijs regarding the styles and so the plotbuild had to be cancelled again and the houses now still wait for completion. Meanwhile the planting of trees in this area is making crazy progress, everything is getting incredibly lush and green currently!
- Brazen is going strong in completing Methrast, the town at the southern tip of Belfalas, both the houses as well as the surrounding terrain.
For very long we have struggled with how one can make a place look lively, and a lot of thought was put into detailing things. While this still is necessary we now got a tool to improve the atmosphere of our places a huge step forward: The Armor Stand Editor. Check out in the images above what Eaglz and Thijs did with it in Methrast!

Despot is almost done with his current masterpiece which is the vertical connector hall/shaft which serves to move good between the levels using cranes. He has now mostly finished the hall and has now started adding the numerous cranes.
In the meanwhile bender has continued on Aulë's hall and Ivan on his training grounds, which both are about to be done now!
I am sorry that I can't yet bring you the big news I promised last week, but some unexpected IRL skirmish held me rather busy this week.

No progress this week (Tyran's on vacation).
Valley of Erui (In Progress) - Lead: @Mandos
The village at the mouth of the Erui has made a bit of progress by the hands of a small team of Artists.
Texture Development
This week I was able to add a multitude of new textures! Here's the full list:
- New 3D models by @NEEPcrafter (Eriador, Gondor, Rohan)
NEEP has created new and very fancy models for Ladders, lilypads, both kinds of torches and the chain resp. rope aka Cobweb, as well as for the Brewing Stand:
He also made a few more models, e.g. a cart wheel (piston head) but there's a few issues with those still which I hope can be fixed!
- New bundled logs block by @Milwargen
- Fixed cauldrons by @Mr_Smithz
- New Beetroot and flowers by @Fireinferno13
- New Biome colormaps for Gondor by @Eriol_Eandur
- Upon request I added @Despot666's stone textures from Moria with texture randomisation to the Gondor pack. If it's preferred over the old one I'll probably also do that for all the other packs.
Plugin Development
Animation Plugin (In Progress) - Dev: @Ivan1pl
Rank UpdatesMost likely no updates this week. Ivan was busy in Moria.
Plotbuild Plugin (Implemented) - Devs: @Eriol_Eandur & @Ivan1pl
Eriol has been working non-stop on the new plugins since their release, constantly fixing bugs, and still he does not get tired of it but instead keeps adding new features at the same time! Here's an abbreviated changelog for the Plotbuild for this week:
Architect Plugin (Implemented, minor fixes in progress) - Dev: @Eriol_Eandur- Some bugs with restoring plots are being fixed.
- A new command was added that allows both the Plotbuild staff as well as builders of a plot to communicate with each other. This is especially useful when more than one player is working on one plot. The staff can then talk to all of them at once, and the builders also have a kind of group chat for themselves.
Also in this plugin a lot of fixes as well new additions can be seen, here's some of them:
Minigames Plugin (Implemented, some fixes in progress) - Devs: @Eriol_Eandur- In the /get sets you will soon be able to fetch unlit Redstone Torches (unlit candles) as well as half beds to construct cozy couches (fantastic idea by Tulkas!)
- If you try to get a head that's not in the collection you will now get an error message instead of no feedback at all.
- some more technical things
- Some rather game-breaking bugs in the Race and Hide and Seek gamemodes were fixed.
- A new /game stat command was added that grants game moderators more options to look up what his player's are up to.
After a rather short break @julianelijah77 is already back from his vacation/MC break. Welcome back in purple!
Media of the week
I bet many of you have or once had one of these fancy artwork wallpapers as desktop background. But did you ever wonder what kind of people actually make these? Well we for sure now know one guy who can do it - @bender400!
