First off lets give a shout out to _Lord_of_Squids_ for his amazing tour for Node! He did a stellar job and helped boost the server with an influx of people. Despite the server being overran things were controlled and there are only positive things said about all the work done. Speaking of Events, we have our very own summer events just around the corner! Work on the server is going great with jobs going on left and right. Join a job and make MCME great again!

Jacen is currently working on letting other players join him in making Andrast more beautiful. He is making some examples for artists to spread throughout the region so that there will be marvelous destinations throughout Andrast for explorers to discover.

Ivanpl1 and Fireinferno have been working their butts off to finish the terrain. This resulted in there being streams to be dug now, so pester your foreman for some stream jobs©! Furthermore there is still a lot of work going on with the updating of the Eriador resource pack and creating a new style, more info later!

The last two weeks have had some fun developments! Napoleon0605 started on a great treasury, RubenPieterMark started on some mines, and a few halls near the west gate were finished. However, this fun is sadly not the only thing, as the leader of the Fellowship’s Path (movie) Patrick_0901 has left his post as leader. Lastly there has been some more planning, and currently the Fellowship’s Path (book) has been planned!

Question 1. What exactly do you do as media assistant?
Toti was the first media team assistant, so I am still trying to learn what I do.
I am in charge of social media and videos/screenshots. Trying to get the media team to work together.
Question 2. Who are the members of the media team?
Active members include RVB, Luk(videomaking), Didi(video editing), RPM(reddit and rendering), bart (screenshots), and Toti still plays a large part.
Question 3. Do you still do foreman jobs?
I try but it is quite hard to combine them, especially with it being summer, but I am doing my best. I love to do both.
Question 4. Anything in the works from media team?
Toti is working very hard on MCME’s homepage, and the media team is helping him by taking LOTS of screenshots, and a MCME welcome video. We also have plans for many other videos. I personally have a few plans for the next few months as well.
Question 5. Were you the person who helped get Node on the server?
They made a Minecraft video where they mentioned wanting to do a big battle. Toti then sent them a message telling them about our server which is where this came from.
Question 6. When can we expect to see the new MCME homepage?
Well, I am scared to tell you this but ** it. We hope to have it done for the Node video.
Question 7. What can MCME members do to join the media team?
That is actually very important because I am wanting to get people with screenshot, video editing, and high lore knowledge to join our team. If you think you have useful skills feel free to message RVB_Legend as the media team is very low on members now.

~ Winners of “The Week” ~
So we got some good ones as always. Make sure you show some special recognition towards the winners of the week! They’ve presented exemplary displays of our server’s creative potential! Give a hand to these winners!
MEDIA WINNERS:
I think we can agree that the clear winner this week was Node, who blessed us by promoting our server, and of course everyone who made the video possible.
The second winner however, was a bit harder to decide.
THEME-BUILD WINNERS:
For the winner of this week’s theme-build, I refer you to the last Times: MCME Times [6-30-19]. The reason for this is that the responsible person to update the theme-builds has been lax. Let’s blame the nice summer weather.
~ Peredhil ~
Half-elves, or, as you will, Peredhil in Sindar Elvish, are one of the less explained subjects in Middle-earth. Tolkien has given more than one explanation, and he has not been consistent with his final explanation.
There are five recorded marriages between Elves and Men:
firstly, Lúthien, the princess of Doriath, married Beren;
later Idril of Gondolin married Tuor;
at the of the First Age Eärendil and Elwing married;
in the Third Age the Númenorean Imrâzor married the wood-elf Mithrellas (starting the bloodline of the princes of Dol Amroth)
and lastly Aragorn married with Arwen.
The last marriage is not strictly an Elf-Man marriage, since Arwen herself was also of Half-Elven heritage. Arwen eventually chose mortality. Their children have thus not been given the choice of Man or Elf.
Half-Elves are the children of the race of Men and Elves. However, they don’t seem to be the natural product of the marriage, but they are rather given by the grace of the Valar.
Half-Elves are given the choice of race: they can choose to be Man, to receive the gift of mortality, or they can choose to be Elf, having to bare the curse of immortality.
However, Tolkien has not been consistent with this, because only the descendants of the Half-Elves who chose to be Elf are given the choice. For example, Arwen and her brother twins can choose, but the descendants of Elros, who chose mortality (their cousins), are not given the choice.
All Númenorean royalty has Half-Elven blood through Elros, twin brother of Elrond, but only Elros was given the choice. Because there have only been five marriages between Men and Elves, from which only two have created offspring that survived the wars of the First Age, there are some… strange family tree connections. For example: did you know Aragorn was Arwen’s nephew? For enunciation: there is a large vertical distance on the family tree; Arwen is from a lot of generations before Aragorn.

Ahh yes. We all know the question. “How can I build?", As well as the responses “You can try a theme build” and “You can take part in jobs." The other answer is “Apply for Artist”, and the last option is by far the most exciting. Being able to build in your favourite places all the time. Sounds awesome. We can never have enough Artists, and with a wide range of current projects, there’s plenty for you to do!

Or perhaps, you’re not a builder. Well. That’s not a problem! Becoming A guide is obviously the better option anyway. As a Guide, you’re the forefront of MCME, and there’s no greater feeling than when someone says your tour was awesome. You don’t actually have to be a lore nerd either, you’ll pick up on lots really quickly.
When you join the Guides, you’ll be giving tours, running minigames and testing players in lore quizzes, or if you prefer less “on the spot” stuff, Guidebooks are obviously your zen, or helping to tell MCME about MCME by writing up articles in the times. You’ll also plan help plan events such as The Summer Events and The Anniversary Events. We hope you join us soon, because us Guides really would love some more of us. What’re you waiting for?
