Ugly Flower Pots and bread

So lately it seems to have become a trend to put the flower heads outside of the window, I for one think it's far nicer to have the regular flower pot with a flower in them.
There are such beautiful textures for the flowers and why would you use an ugly square if you can get a somewhat 3d looking flower?

Also the use of bread and candles has been popping up a lot, again I don't see the purpose of them, I'd rather have fewer flower pot stands than having these weird things on them.
