What makes a great Ranger according to you?
A great ranger is someone who will greet new players and immerse these new players into the community.
When a new player joins the server, they typically do not know anyone, and will usually be shy and sometimes very reluctant to join jobs, tours and just teamspeak in general, and because of this, they generally don't stay for very long.
It is a ranger's job to welcome them into the server when they first join, and I'm not talking about just saying "Welcome so and so to MCME". A ranger should engage new players in conversation and invite them to use teamspeak so that the ranger may talk to them and help them out with anything they may need.
A ranger is essentialy the "first friend" that a new player should have when they join, and it is the ranger's job to give them a reason to come back.
A good ranger also has to always be friendly to all new players, no matter how annoying or frustrated a new thrall may be, because many new players are just kids, so they may not know how to talk to people in a mature way.
Why are you applying for this position?
I know this isn't required, but I thought I'd share anyway.
People on the server have told me that they thought I would make a good ranger, and I always thought that it would be cool, but I always had my sights set on artist.
Over the course of these last few weeks however, i've come to realize that I am just not suited for artist.
I have come to realize that I am a bit of a ranger at heart. I generally always greet new players and try to help them out as best I can, and I have also given a few short unofficial tours of my own, to usually about 1-2 thralls at a time.
Anyway, thats about it really.
Thanks to the people that told me that I'd make a good ranger, you know who you are!
