• Welcome to MCME!

Minecraft Middle Earth is a Minecraft community that recreates the world described by JRR Tolkien and his writings. Everyone can participate in organized events in which we collaborate to create major landmarks, terrain, caves, castles, towns, farms and more.

  1. Add a command that shows you the number of tours you've joined.
  2. Add a command that shows you the number of jobs you've joined.
  3. Add a command that shows you the number of tours you've ran.
  4. Add a command that shows you the number of jobs you've ran.
  5. Add a command as a quick way to get certain items like a sword, shield, bow, and armor for people who may want to immerse themselves more while they explore MCME.
  6. The large regions of Middle Earth should be announced when you enter them such as Rohan, Gondor, Eriador, etc. through the Guidebook plugin (you could even make a new Guidebook+ badge and only peole with this badge would have the permissions to add these new regions).
  7. Add a “click here” option to guide books that shows a player an even larger paragraph with more info about that specific place.
  8. Add a tag option for donations for people that want more texture progress.
  9. Add some of the media winner screenshots as additional forum background options.
  10. Someone should go through and mark all of the threads in the suggestion forum area as “Under Review”, or “Resolved” for better organization.
  11. We should remove the flying and warping capabilities of adventurers so that they remain on the server longer since it takes them longer to explore.

https://www.mcmiddleearth.com/commu...the-front-of-their-names-like-mods-have.6857/ was my first suggestion post. I have come far.

hey remember when i suggested a head texturer rank for you and then a month later you got a new head of texturing badge? maybe this will happen in a month too, i think you have an aura of completion that follows you wherever you go.
Was just wondering what that means exactly...

It means people can put a tag on donations to show that they want their donations to contribute toward texturing in whatever way seems most beneficial
With very few exceptions (like media prints for the "Tolkien Tage") q spends all donations for server and website resources (hardware rent and software licence). There is a public list of all expenses at the donations page. We are not paying people to create content for MCME as we want to create Middle-earth together as a community.

I think we need to pay @Wyattrox03 for texturing.

If that becomes the case where would you draw the line with who gets paid? When money becomes the incentive for work and a outline is given for what is deserving of being paid or completing items, gives us a bigger issue imo.

It's easy. If you pour 10 hours a day into the server you get paid.

But what then is considered work, and if people think that they are doing work for the server but the Valar do not deem it so then that person would feel robbed of payment as compared to someone who is doing the same thing as a team member for example. it isn't easy

As Eriol said. This is going against the core principles of our community. I don't think I think Nelman pointed out one of the issues rather well but at the same time there are some far more deeply rooted issues with that approach to motivation. If we run out of money then MCME dies for example?

If he would do a good job I'd be down to explore a payment in cookies...
