It's partially a joke but mostly I don't think The Silmarillion would work as an audiobook, I want to enjoy what I'm reading and I've never enjoyed reading The Silmarillion

Audiobook of the Ainulindale with the music of creation as background music. (But actually I do think the Ainulindale is written in a great style for an audiobook, even if it is sort of too short to really work.)
