As promised and by public demand, I organized the next public meeting. Now, this took a bit longer than anticipated as we had to have a couple of Valar Meetings and a Staff Meeting before.

The date is 12/10/2019! The time 8:00 pm CEST; 7:00 pm BST; 2:00 pm EDT and 11:00 am PDT!
You all know the drill: here is the Agenda where you can also add your own topics in the designated area. I'm still looking for a scribe, so if you are interested please let me know. Chilly Seasons Approach!

We near the end of September and October weather follows!

Editor's Note by Soarz
Another two weeks have come and gone, and to say its been hectic would be an understatement. This past week we finally held the Helms Deep Battle for Node, it had an amazing turnout with many new players coming to check it out. A big majority of the credit goes to our beloved @Eriol_Eandur who put in many months of hard work to make this amazing battle possible. And how could we forget about @TotiGonzales who also spend a substantial about of time making the skins we got to wear and see. That is just a brief...

Fall is Coming!
The cold will not stop our progress!

Proofreader's Note by _Lord_Of_Squids_
Welcome back to the times, everyone! This marks another 2 weeks of progress and fun, and the beginning of another! I've started to feel a change in the air as the year wears on, which is great news for us winter lovers. But, as summer ends, more and more of us are falling to the great beast known as education, and while this may hinder build progress for a little bit our spirits are never daunted! Besides, what better thing to do after a long day at school or university than relax and explore (or build) Middle-earth? So sit back, put your reading glasses on, lower your chair, raise it because you lowered it a...

We can rest MCME!
The hype has finally started to go down!

Editor's Note by Soarz
Another great two weeks have just flown by and lots of progress has been made. Things have begun to slow down but work is still being done all around the map. Many are off to school and that means less time for what we love, but regardless MCME players will always find a way to get on and have the time of their lives. Be sure keep a look out for jobs and different activities that happen on the server, and don't forget to have a wonderful day!

Media MiddleEarth
We've gone viral

Editor's Note by Soarz
The last two weeks have been pretty crazy, to say the least. After Node came on we have had a consistent one hundred people on at a time. We have been on not just YouTube, but Reddit, Instagram, and Facebook! We haven't seen these kind of stats in years and progress has boomed! More is being worked on and many adventurers are joining in. To all new players, welcome to MCME! We are glad you could join us in our great feat, and I hope you find a place in the community. Whether its building or sharing your knowledge with the world, I hope you have the time of your life.

Event Season

Preparations are made and work is being done

Editor's Note by Soarz

First off lets give a shout out to _Lord_of_Squids_ for his amazing tour for Node! He did a stellar job and helped boost the server with an influx of people. Despite the server being overran things were controlled and there are only positive things said about all the work done. Speaking of Events, we have our very own summer events just around the corner! Work on the server is going great with jobs going on left and right. Join a job and make MCME great again!

Mid Summer Middle Earth!
There's nothing like Summer Minecraft!

Editor's Note by Soarz
Were half way through the summer and its still as hot as always, so I hope all the workers are getting enough water. Projects are advancing and work is being done all over. Moria has made immense progress with halls going up and jobs being ran - but don't worry! Revamps are happening too. The new JobBot has helped in making it easier for Foreman to make jobs more available and open. Be sure to be on the look out for them, they are fun and open to all!

Editor's Note by Soarz

Progress hasn’t stopped over the last few weeks, and with school and testing being done we are starting new projects. Many things are coming up and everyone is super excited. We have summer events, new jobs, and fantastic theme builds to look forward to over the next few months.

The Turn of the Times!
We come back to you now, at the turn of the tide!

Editor's Note by Soarz
Hello Fellow MCMER's! It has been a while, so we are proud to announce the return of the MCME Times! There is no doubt that this is a good time for this to happen with BWOT stepping down following Arkengarde's Resignation. They were a big part of MCME for many years and many looked up to them. I thank them both for the time and energy they put into their work on MCME, and hope we can take what they left and move forward. They both worked on the times and set high goals for it, so we aim to do the same and show the community what we can do.

The Future of Builder Leadership

~:~ The Future of Builder Leadership ~:~

After careful consideration, a lot of meetings, and 1 month of careful planning. The valar have decided that it is for the benefit of the community that the role of Head Builder be split. This might come to surprise, as we already removed the development aspect of it with the Head Developer role, however, even then it is a large burden. Therefore we are going to have two Head Builders.

It will be split so that there is a Project Supervisor and Operations Manager sub division within the role. So, let me explain what each one of these roles entails.

Project Supervisor:
Primary Tasks:
  • Review the ongoing projects, optimally on a regular basis. Check up on whether the project is on track regarding the following aspects (maybe more)
    • Styles: Does it match / line up with other builds or does it look alien, if it does, is it just progressive or just plainly...

Letter of Resignation

~:~ Letter of Resignation ~:~

Good day MCME. What a time it has been! Today, I am announcing my resignation from the rank of Head Builder and also of my soon departure of the server altogether. I joined this server just under three years ago and wow… it has gone by so fast.

This community will always remain special to me. MCME is such a unique community. What makes this place most special and different from any other community is the strength of the community. No other server spends the amount of time we do to improve other’s building skill. No other building community has such a solid non-building framework to host events, run minigames and etc. No other group of people, that I know of, spends so much time in growing the community through one on one interactions.

Why am I leaving? The short answer is I do not have enough time that is required for the role of Head Builder, and I am taking more on in my personal life. If you want the lengthy...

#07/19 - Orc-hold

Themed Builds run weekly, starting on Sunday, and last one week until the next one starts.

The Return of The King – The Land of Shadow said:
The light, though no more than a grey dusk, was now enough for them to see that they were deep in the valley between the mountains. It sloped up gently northward, and at its bottom when the bed of a now dry and withered stream. Beyond its stony course they saw a beaten path that wound its way under the feet of the westward cliffs. Had they known, they could have reached it quicker, for it was a track that left the main Morgul-road at the western bridge-end and went down by a long stair cut in the rock to the valley's bottom. It was used by patrols or by messengers going swiftly to lesser posts and strong-holds north-away, between Cirith Ungol and the narrows of Isen-mouth, the iron jaws of Carach...

Hey everyone!
As you might know, if you ever looked at the calendar BWOT posted, tomorrow we are supposed to have a Public Meeting. I know this is kind of a short notice but due to my stupidly busy schedule the past week I couldn't find the time to write a post:rolleyes:.

Date: 04-05-2019; Time 7PM BST

Due to the fact that this is rather spontaneous, there isn't much of an agenda, tho maybe other staff members or even some nonstaff have a couple of topics to add to it. I'll be there to chat anyway so if you have the time you can join and talk to me about your problems and concerns. :p

Howdy Folks!

This is being hatched pretty suddenly perhaps... but hey! Everything comes to an end eventually!
I didn't expect my time as Head Guide to come to an end so soon (after only 7-8 months), but I just feel that now is the right time. I haven't spoken with many people about this yet, so I understand this may come a bit unexpected. So allow me to explain myself!

I have been on MCME since December 2011. I remember a time when I had to dig great ravines across a default minecraft world for rivers such as the Adorn and Anduin. I remember the secret base in Caras Galadhon and sneaking into Isengard before it was complete. I've seen almost every iteration of ranks MCME has produced over its long history (for a minecraft server) and I gotta say: I'm pretty happy I've had this server and its members in my life!

MCME remembers a time when I was but a 12/13 year old kid with a squeeky voice. MCME remembers my awkward sense of...
