You certainly have potential. With your enthusiasm I'm sure you'll go far but to go far you need to be on par with the building quality on the server. Now it's not my job to evaluate Artist applications but I can give you some tips on the way.

First of all; take more screenshots of your builds to show them off better. Overhead shots of the entire build is great for showing of the overall layout of a build but it does a really poor job of showing of the details of the build itself. Add closeups of some of the houses of your farm and the houses you've built in the docks and don't forget to add some screenies of the interiors as well as interior work is one of the most important things for an Artist to be good at.

Secondly, your DA house looks really plain with little variation. Now I don't know the gatetown theme and from what I can tell from the picture it seems to be a rather plain theme in general. But try to add more depth and detail to it if you can.
At a second thought I think the plainness of your house might be because of the angle of your screenshot. I think it would look better, or at least more natural if you took the screenshot from the ground maybe.

As for your farm it's hard to judge its quality from so far away and without any interior screenies It doesn't really help your application at all except for being a theme build. However I am quite amazed that you built all that in just 3 days. Some things you should take note of is that the big house on the left has far too meny and far too big windows to be realistic. Same goes for the random assortment of crops in your crop field, you would never see something like that in real life. Your handmade trees looks really good (maybe a bit big roots on some of them but it's ok). Your paths could use some more dirt and gravel mixed in and your thatched roofs, whilst you have tried to make them a bit uneven here and there they're still far to uniform to match the server I think.

About the screenshot of the docks the only thing I can say is good layout because there's not much else that screenie shows of and I have no idea what parts of it you have built.

I'm sorry if I'm being harsh and critical but becoming Artist is not easy and you really have to show of the best you can do and that you've got what it takes. And your screenshots here really does a bad job of showing anything regarding your building skills. So my tip to you: look at more builds on the server to see how you could improve your own buildings and take new screenshots of your builds that really shows your building skills.

Also, another tip: if you press f1 in game you hide the HUD. This will make it easier to see your builds as things such as chat and your hotbar won't be in the way.

Am I the only one wondering why her left hand sticks out on the screen instead of the right one?

As for the application, I completly agree with Ryttyr, but I'd like to point out few more things:
- add some bushes /vines to some of the houses
- the interior of the house is alright, maybe add some carpet (for a poor house you can use the cloth one a little mixed over the floor)
- Paintings aren't used that much anymore for interiors, since we have all these fancy new textures
- Try adding some sandstone slabs to your house instead of all the stairs you use at the roof border
- also add some different variations of the sandstone (small bricks, small with big bricks...)

For the farm:
- again the bushes would make it more interesting
- The wall of the house on the left feels very boring, and like ryttyr said those windows don't suit there.
- I can see you kind of tried to make the tatch not fully stairs (mixing up some blocks of tatch), but you can do it a lot more, also don't forget the slabs.
- again on the roof those lines of wood all along the roof don't look very nice, in my opinion you'd best do them on each side of the house and no more.
- The path choice is interesting, but I'd recommend trying to remake some of the paths you see in all of Gondor.

I'm sure you'll learn more of building in the mcme style if you stay this active!

this is offtopic but for your information, you can change that in setting (with optifine if i remember right)

For the application: rytt said pretty much the important stuff for now, just wanted to let u know, that i like ur exitement for the rank! thats an important part of an app ;)

bart I'm left handed so i changed my player to be left handed. And i didn't use optifine its in the normal settings

Hey Super wow lots of people taking up my roll to give tips and such and I'm sure Fin feels the same way :p. And thats why I will let ryt and bart handle this cause it seems like they are doing a good job and also Super good luck and hope to have you on the purple team soon.

Haha thanks. I'm currently on holiday so I cannot come online.

Don't forget to add a comment like" "UPDATED" so that @Finrod_Amandil and everyone else following your application sees that it has been updated. Because only editing the post does not send a notification.

Hey superlolster, thank you for your application!

That's a lot of screenshots :D But most important for Artist applications are Themed-builds to show your individual skills. I like your farmstead and we already talked about that. Maybe try another Themed-build to show your skills with a larger building.

Participating in jobs and plotbuilds is also very helpful for a successful Artist application, just ask Designers and Forman if they have something to do for you ;)

When you update your application, don't create a new thread. Add the screenshots to your initial application post ("edit"), then reply to this thread (Just something like "update") to make us notice the changes.
