@q220 updated the resource pack for Dol Amroth which will enable us to get rid of a lot of item blocks.

As a result of this update there are a lot of doors at the map that can't be opened any more. The doors will be replaced soon. Doors in The Shire and Dol Amroth should already be ok. If you find any doors you can't open in these areas, please post below.

Thanks Eriol for all your hard work.

In extremely rare occasions there may (or may not idk) still be such unopenable doors in the shire from whay back when we first installed the door plugin but I think we have found most of the glitched doors from back then.

Also thank you immensely for the hard work @Eriol_Eandur :D

Didi, if you're using the server resource packs, just delete the file (the one that is the smallest in size) in "server resource packs" folder and it will redownload the new one.

The rp areas are not changed. The update is for Dol Amroth only at the moment.

As some point the Gondor2 rp will be used in all of Gondor. But I don't expect that to happen before Dol Amorth is finished.

For all other packs updates with custom inventories are planned. But that is a lot of work. So expect too much. Will be some kind of soon.

Red and brown shingles and dark thatch blocks were removed from the block as they were (almost) not used in Dol Amroth. Those blocks have now "unused" texture. So you have to think about suited replacement.

Important notice to all builders

All doors at the entire map has been replaced with powered doors. Please don't use doors from the creative inventory any more. They are not openable any longer and will not be openable in the future. Instead use doors from the custom inventory. So far there is a custom inventory for Gondor2 resource pack only. If you build using another resource pack you can use the doors from the Gondor2 custom inventory too.

How to open the custom inventory for Gondor2 rp outside of Dol Amroth?
  • By command: /inv b rp:2
    or
  • Hold an inventory opener item in main or off hand and press 'f' (or whatever key you assigned to 'swap hand item'). You can get the inventory opener item from the custom inventory in category 'misc'.

I think it should be added that this feature has also been made with accessing the cheads files:

By command: /inv h
or
Hold an inventory opener item in main or off hand and press 'f' (or whatever key you assigned to 'swap hand item'). You can get the inventory opener item from the custom inventory in category 'misc'.

May I suggest that for the inventory opener items you just have the name of the related custom inventory to be the item's name and put the description of how to use the inventory opener item in the item's lore instead?

Since the items used for the inventory openers look the same it's kinda annoying trying to make out which is which from that long string of instructions that is the IOI(inventory opener item)'s current names and you really only need that instruction when you first want to use the IOI or if you've forgotten how to do it. You don't need to see the instructions every time you hold the IOI in your hand.

For those of you who don't know, item lore are two strings of customizable text that can be added to any item using commands and which will be displayed in the information box that appears when you hover your cursor over the item.
