    • Gamwich

    Gamwich is the home town of Hamfast Gamwich in the Shire. The town was also known for its own rope-making.

    • Gladden Fields

    The Gladden Fields, also known as the Iris Fields, is a region east of the Misty Mountains. It is a swampy area and it is the region where Sméagol and his family used to live. The Iris Fields is the place where king Isildur was attacked by Orcs and where he and most of his army was slain. That was where he lost the ring in the river the Gladden. The project is finished in 2016 under lead of @Finrod_Amandil . Lots of people helped, like @Wraith_Knight and @Darki190 . It has one primitive village in the centre Island.

    The Gladden Pass is one of the three passes through the Misty Mountains, the other two being Redhorn Pass and the High Pass. It is a pass at the source of the Gladden river. The project was led by @Finrod_Amandil .

    • Glittering Caves

    The Glittering Caves are the extensive jewelled caverns in Rohan. Another name is Aglarond, meaning: "caves of glory" or: "caves of light". It is located west of the Hornburg and behind the Deeping Wall was its entrance. In the Battle of Helm's Deep many Rohirrim seeked refugee in the Glittering Caves, also Gimli son of Gloín. He was fascinated by them so much; on their way to Isengard he made the deal with Legolas that he would visit Fangorn with Legolas, if Legolas would visit the Glittering Caves with him. Even Legolas was speechless. After the War of the Ring, Gimli founed one of the most important Dwarf-realms in the Glittering caves with other Dwarves from Erebor. He became the first Lord of the Glittering Caves.
    The project was led by @Credoo in 2014, along with the revamp of the rest of Rohan.

    • Goldarce

    Goldarce is a mining town in Belfalas. It contains a fortified citycentre, a
    quarry and a large mine. It isn't mentioned by Tolkien. Goldarce has been led by several people: @Thijs1801 , @Darki190 and @Mandos . The mine was finished weeks later by @NicTheFifth .

    • Gondor

    Gondor is one of the major regions in middle earth. The second of the two great nations of Men after the Downfall of Numenor (the second one is Arnor). It was established by Isildur and his brother Anarion (their father Elendil ruled over Arnor). Initially, Gondor was comprised of the lands to the North and South of White Mountains, but a large part of the northern territories was gifted tot the Etheod in the Third Age. Gondor was divided between several nearly autonomous regions:
    Ithilien, Anorien, Lossarnach, Lebennin, Belfalas, Dor-en-Ernil, Lamedon, Anfalas, Andrast and Ethir Anduin.
    As Gondorians came originally came from Numenor, their main language was Westron also known as Common Speech. The name Gondor translates from Sindarin as "Stone-land".

    Green Cliffs is a village in Anfalas that can be found in the middle-east close to Andrast. To the northeast we can find Bairdh Gelin. One of the bigger towns in Anfalas.

    Greenfields is on the the banks of the Brandywine in the Northfarthing of the Shire, between the river and the Norbourn. Also known for the Battle of Greenfields (battle between the orcs from Mount Gram and Hobbitry-in-arms). The only battle fought inside the boundaries of the Shire before the War of the Ring.

    Greenholm is a village of the Hobbits on the Far Downs on the western borders of the Shire.

    Greymane Castle is a castle on the Eastern Belfalas on the peninsula looking out over Mouths of Anduin. One could see Tolfalas in the far distance. Build upon a cliff surrounded by a wall. Greymane Castle was created by Mandos.

    • Grimslade

    Grimslade was the ancestral home of Grimbold (a lesser Marshal of the Mark). Not much is known of the location, but it stood in the Westfold of Rohan (the land between Edoras and Helm's Deep). It is located on a hillside and is surrounded by a wall.
